The Beerjobber Team (like a good fridge) is stocked with variety. Each one of us is RADICALLY different in every way… including our beer taste. Check out our bios below, find your taste match, and follow our blog posts and tasting videos. We’ll help you find beers you’ll love. Want to contact one of us? Send an email HERE.
RYAN
“Taste Expert / Homebrewer”
Beer Taste: Ryan is our resident taste advisor and long time homebrewer. He appreciates any well-made beer regardless of brewery or popularity. Whether it is a pale lager or a barrel-aged Russian imperial stout, Ryan will surely have an opinion on it. Also, he has a pet turtle.
Favorites: Devils Backbone, Twisted Pine, Heretic
Beer Taste: It needs to taste delicious. If it’s hoppy, thumbs up. If it tastes like a fruit explosion, Elisabeth will love it. She likes refreshing, easy-drinking, non-complicated beers best, although she appreciates a good surprise — and good packaging. Elisabeth is Beerjobber’s “Girl Beer Drinker”. If you need something your girlfriend will love, she’ll help you find it.
Favorites: Dry Dock, Pumpkin Ales
Beer Taste: Hannah is not your average girl. She beat up the cheerleaders in high school. She wore a t-shirt to work one time. She likes her beers dark. Hannah is often spotted trying new beers, but if you see her really excited you know she just tried that new imperial stout from some brewery over there. Hannah is our resident dark beer fanatic.
Favorites: Voodoo, Elysian, Twisted Pine and Lazy Mag
Beer Taste: Some would call it opinionated, but Alicia would say she just knows what she wants. If it’s a Belgian, a sour beer, and IPA or even a cider, then she will love it. If it isn’t, she probably won’t. She’s tried enough beers to know what styles she appreciates and sticks with them. That’s not to say there aren’t some exceptions though…
Favorites: Port City, Abbey, Elysian
SEAN“Complicated Brews”
Beer Taste: Sean has tried them all. He’s ticked everything there is to be ticked. Maybe it’s long-term palette fatigue, or maybe it’s something else, but at this point, only the most extreme beers challenge him. He enjoys crazy Belgian quads, beers made with odd ingredients, and anything barrel-aged. He can often be found sipping on old favorites, but it’s the new oddball beer that he will really enjoy.
Favorites: Elevation, Blue Mountain Barrel House, Voodoo
Beer Taste: Most people dislike the terms “wine snob” or “foodie” but to Jim those words are compliments of the highest order. Jim is a beer-convert who has only recently started exploring the world of beer. At this point Jim is much more likely to talk about what food a beer would pair well with than about the beer itself, but that will change.
Favorites: Still searching…
